- Log loaders

- Pull-through delimbers
Such delimbers can act like horizontally-mounted processors which are capable to work as trailer-mounted or any standalone machine. Then loader will just put part of the tree inside delimber.
Most of the models will be provided with topping saw that removes head region of the tree. “Pull-through delimbers” can offer cleaning stem that does not require any kind of extra additional processing before the loading in truck.
- Flail delimbers
Such types of loaders can basically be rotating drums which come with chains which may break off limbs of tree when they will be fed via drum. Flails can be available in two different types:
- Loader triggered
- Self-feeding.
This method will remove bark which is beneficial when result will be low bark content that in resulting chips, almost like paper/pulp usage.
- Feller bunchers
These machines are self-propelled which come with just single cutting head and are able to grip more than 1 stem at a single time. Cutting heads will perform only cutting operation.
It will hold and ground device of placement and it may not have any capability of processing. Generally, feller bunchers are propelled via any wheels and tracks.
